Craftsmanship and Production
Our production facilities are of great importance to us, and we take pride in honoring our history of local expertise and consistent quality. Fredericia was founded in the city of Fredericia, where we continue to maintain production for selected designs, alongside upholstery facilities in Svendborg.
In 2025 we strengthened our commitment to local production even further with the acquisition of Snedkergården – a renowned, Danish joinery based in Them, known for their craftmanship and excellent woodworking skills. These facilities are central to our approach to crafting and production, supporting skilled employment in woodwork, upholstery, and furniture production, and providing opportunities for trainees and students to gain practical experience in manufacturing and design processes.
Designing with climate in mind
Our approach to climate starts with understanding the impact of what we do. We measure our CO₂e emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3 every year, giving us a basis for identifying where we can reduce emissions and make better choices across our operations and production.
As a design company with our own manufacturing, we have a particular responsibility to look at how we use energy and resources. In the coming years, this means increasing the use of renewable energy at our own facilities, reducing waste, and finding ways to give leftover materials a new purpose. We are also exploring circular business models that can help us use resources more thoughtfully and extend the life of our furniture.
Our climate work is part of our wider commitment to reducing our environmental impact and contributing to the global effort to limit warming to 1.5°C.
