Third-party certifications provide an independent framework for measuring and validating our sustainability efforts, helping ensure transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Throughout product development, we challenge ourselves to make more responsible choices - from selecting raw materials from more sustainable sources to meeting the requirements of recognised material and product certifications.
Material Certifications
Our material certifications document the responsible sourcing and environmental qualities of the materials used in our products. They help ensure that selected raw materials meet recognised standards for sustainability, traceability and responsible production.
EU Ecolabel
The EU Ecolabel is a label of environmental excellence that focuses on minimizes products environmental impacts throughout their entire lifecycle, while guaranteeing their high quality. The EU Ecolabel is unilaterally acknowledged by all EU member states and respected worldwide for involving some of the most comprehensive criteria in the industry.
In addition to high standards for sustainable production, the EU Ecolabel has stringent requirements regarding products. For example, ensuring that there is no presence of harmful substances and no indoor climate effect in products that are also easy to repair and recyclable.
This all-encompassing approach is aligned with our own stance on sustainability: to help reduce the overall impact on the environment, the climate and society at large.
FSC
All wood from Fredericia comes from responsibly managed forests and other controlled sources. We only use wood sources compliant with EUTR or FSC®-certified wood on selected products to ensure this.
The FSC Forest Management Certification confirms that a forest is being managed in an environmentally responsible manner preserving biodiversity and benefiting the lives of local people and workers.
Fredericia is an FSC-certified producer (License: FSC C151292).

By working with Blauer Engel certified leathers, we choose materials that meet stringent environmental and health requirements throughout their lifecycle without compromising on quality, durability, or comfort.
The certification helps ensure low emissions, limited use of harmful substances, and responsible manufacturing processes, supporting healthier indoor environments and a reduced environmental impact.

We work with leading textile suppliers to offer fabrics that combine durability, comfort, and responsible production.
The majority of our standard textile collection is certified to recognized standards such as the EU Ecolabel, GREENGUARD Gold, and OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
