The A-Chair by Danish-American Designer Jens Risom was designed in 1961. This comfortable easy chair is defined by its graphic contour, and the iconic back view, where a distinctive frame cradles the entire chair. The A-Chair is equally suitable for corporate and hospitality settings as well as private residences, where it adds just enough comfort and style to become a preferred spot for winding down.

Fully upholstered lounge chair with separate seat cushion. Inner frame of wood, upholstered in HR or CMHR foam, covered in fabric or leather. Fixed legs of solid wood. Removable seat cushion has a foam core in feather wrap. Cover on seat cushion is removable. External cover is non-removable.

Meet the designer

Jens Risom was a true talent and a pivotal player in the Danish Modernism movement, expecially his role introducing a Scandinavian sensibility to the American market.

There he pursued a successful career designing an array of pieces which stemmed from functionality, imbued with a New York sense of style and savoir-faire. Risom went on to influence the global design arena and left a legacy of stunning, streamlined designs.
