Dust and dirt take their toll on canvas, which is why it should be vacuum-cleaned often, preferably once a week, using a soft mouthpiece at medium suction in order to prolong its longevity.

Meet the Designer

Architect and designer Mogens Koch (1898–1992) shaped Danish Modern through an unwavering commitment to function, craftsmanship, and precision. Trained as an architect, he applied the same rigour to furniture as to buildings: every detail refined, every gesture purposeful. Koch never designed for effect; he designed for use.

Drawing on historical precedents, from ancient and classical furniture to Renaissance and Georgian forms, Koch sought to understand what made certain designs universal and enduring. Through this analytical approach, he distilled archetypal forms that resist time and fashion. His furniture embodies a deeply human functionalism: tactile, thoughtful, and built to last.
