No. 1 Sofa, 3 seater, 206 cm

The No. 1 Sofa was the first sofa series that Mogensen designed for Fredericia, and it marked the start of a close collaboration. The tightly upholstered wooden frame is softened by loose, interchangeable buttoned cushions. It’s all in keeping with Mogensen’s quest to create functional furniture that would enhance people’s everyday lives.

Materials

Fully upholstered sofa with seperate seat and back cushions. interchangeable legs of solid wood mounted with metal threads. Inner frame of solid wood and plywood. Interchangeable cushions of HR or CMHR foam covered in fabric and mounted with buttons. Covers are non-removable. Back cushions are reversible with fabric on both sides.

Børge Mogensen (1914-1972) was one of the most influential designers shaping Modern Danish design and Fredericia’s founding designer.
