A contemporary classic, Delphi has gained a reputation as the essential Danish landscape sofa – designed by Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein. Delphi is made at the Svendborg workshop with exquisite upholstery details, soothing comfort and materials of the highest calibre. Delphi Elements are composed of separate modules that can always be rearranged as needed. This flexible setup makes the system equally suitable for private homes and more spacious commercial settings.

Materials

Delphi modular sofa system. Fully upholstered in fabric or leather with non-removable cover. Inner frame of wood with nozag springs, cold cured foam, either HR or CMHR foam and duvet of cut foam and fibers. Aluminum or solid wood base. Modules can be independently rearranged.

This sofa collection is a series of sofas and singular modules made by Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein in 2007. Elegantly revealing Wettstein’s industrial and methodical design approach, the Delphi Sofa is recognised today as a contemporary classic. Carefully hand-upholstered, the Delphi Sofa embodies the craftsmanship required to bring Hannes Wettstein’s sculptural design to life. Clean lines and precise curves shape its distinctive backrest, a form achievable only through expert upholstery.

Built with Intention

Details
The stitching along the backrest and along the seat cushions is a signature detail. The armrests are unique and showcase Fredericia's upholstery skills.
Landscape sofa
Referred to as the iconic Danish “landscape” sofa, Delphi is a modern sofa of extremely high quality.
Comfort
Structured hard foam is topped with a layer of down to create the ultimate comfort and look.
Production
It is crafted in Denmark at the Fredericia upholstery workshop in Svendborg.

Swiss designer Hannes Wettstein was an influential talent within industrial design, furniture and architecture. He had a willingness to rethink everything determined by design – from human behaviour and how rooms are organised to the purpose of things.
